Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They serve various functions such as remembering your preferences, authenticating your session, and improving your browsing experience.
2. Cookies We Use
NexTunnel uses two categories of cookies: strictly necessary (essential) cookies required for the Service to function, and optional analytics cookies to help us understand and improve the service.
Essential Cookies
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| next-auth.session-token | Authentication session | Session / 30 days |
| next-auth.csrf-token | CSRF protection | Session |
| next-auth.callback-url | Post-login redirect | Session |
| NEXT_LOCALE | Language preference | 1 year |
| cookie-consent | Stores your cookie choice | 1 year |
Analytics & Conversion Cookies (Optional)
When analytics is enabled, we use Google Analytics 4 and Meta Pixel to measure website performance, understand how users discover and use the service, and improve conversion flows. These tools may set the following third-party cookies:
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics 4 | Distinguishes users; tracks sessions and page views | 2 years |
| _fbp | Meta Pixel | Tracks conversions from Meta ads; ad measurement | 3 months |
Data collected by Google Analytics is processed under Google's privacy policy. Data collected by Meta Pixel is processed under Meta's data policy. No personally identifiable information is shared with these providers beyond what is standard for these services.
3. Cookies We Do NOT Use
- Ad network cookies: No programmatic ad retargeting or ad-serving cookies
- Social media login cookies: No Twitter/X tags, LinkedIn Insight, or similar (Google OAuth does not set persistent tracking cookies)
- Other third-party cookies: No cookies from external services beyond Stripe (payments), Google Analytics, and Meta Pixel
4. Your Choices
Essential cookies are required for the Service to function. Analytics cookies are optional. You can control analytics cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent you from logging in or using certain features of the Service.
- To opt out of Google Analytics across all sites, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on
- To manage Meta ad preferences, visit your Meta Ad Preferences settings
5. Browser Cookie Controls
Most browsers allow you to manage cookies through their settings. Common options include:
- Blocking all cookies
- Blocking only third-party cookies
- Clearing cookies when you close the browser
- Receiving a notification before a cookie is set
6. Changes to This Policy
If we introduce additional cookies or change how we use existing ones, we will update this policy. Continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
